Mont de la Charvaz rises to 1158 meters, featuring forested slopes that lead to exposed limestone cliffs along its upper sections and summit.

The mountain paths were used as trade routes between local villages during the Middle Ages, connecting communities across the Rhône valley region.

Local mountain guides organize yearly educational walks to teach visitors about the native plants and geological formations found on Mont de la Charvaz.

The main hiking trail starts from Billième village, covering 11.5 kilometers with an elevation gain of 800 meters over a four-hour trek.

The summit provides two distinct observation points offering complete views of the Dent du Chat, Bauges mountains, and Rhône canal below.
