Ouvrage Billig

Ouvrage Billig is an underground military fortification in eastern France with multiple combat blocks linked by tunnel passages. The complex spans several levels and contains areas for barracks, food preparation, medical care, and storage of water and supplies.

The fortification was built during the 1930s as part of France's defensive strategy and became operational shortly after. It served a role in the early stages of World War II before the military situation shifted dramatically.
