Kindarena Sports Complex, Multi-purpose sports complex in Rouen, France
Kindarena is a multi-purpose sports facility in Rouen with a main hall holding up to 6,000 people and a secondary hall seating about 1,000. The building also contains two training spaces that can accommodate different activities and events.
The building was designed by architect Dominique Perrault and opened to the public in 2012. Its construction represented a major investment in updating the city's sports facilities.
The facility serves as a gathering place where the community comes together for sports events and entertainment shows. Basketball games, handball matches, and concerts create moments where local fans and visitors share experiences.
The arena stands west of the right bank in the Luciline district, between Avenue du Mont-Riboudet and the Seine, near the A150 exit from Barentin to Le Havre. The site's slope creates two levels: one at ground level for the hall, the other reached by climbing the concrete steps of the forecourt. The main hall holds 4,500 to 6,000 spectators depending on configuration.
The main hall was named salle Céline Dumerc and the second salle Amélie Mauresmo on 8 March 2022, after a public consultation. The arena's name, unveiled on 16 November 2011, comes from the Kinder brand of the Ferrero group, whose French headquarters sit in Mont-Saint-Aignan; Ferrero paid 500,000 euros a year for ten years.
