Phare de Rochebonne

Phare de Rochebonne is a stone lighthouse in Saint-Malo that stands near Minihic beach. The square tower with gray walls and red top reaches approximately 20 meters in height and guides ships through the local waters.

The lighthouse was built in 1868 with an oil light system to guide ships through the channel. It suffered damage during World War Two but was rebuilt and returned to service after 1945.

The lighthouse reflects maritime building traditions of Brittany and appears in France's cultural heritage inventory. Its simple stone structure with gray walls and red top represents the practical architecture that shapes the local coastline.
