Plage du Minihic

Plage du Minihic is a sandy beach along the Saint-Malo coast that stretches between the Parame and Rotheneuf neighborhoods. The shore is lined with low cliffs covered in natural vegetation and features a wide, flat sand surface.

Wooden breakwaters were built in the 19th century to protect the shore from strong waves and erosion. These structures remain visible on the beach today and mark the area's efforts to manage coastal forces.

This beach serves as a gathering place where locals and visitors walk along the shore and explore the tidal pools at low tide. The setting invites people to spend time observing the water and the vegetation clinging to the surrounding cliffs.

The beach has a first aid station and basic visitor facilities on site. Access rules vary by season, especially regarding where you can bring pets during warmer months.

The tide completely covers the sandy surface at high water, transforming the beach into a different landscape twice daily. This dramatic shift offers visitors a chance to witness how the coast changes throughout the day.
