Phare de l'Anse à la Barque, Lighthouse in Vieux-Habitants, Guadeloupe.
The cylindrical white lighthouse tower stands at the end of a cove lined with coconut palm trees on the western coast of Basse-Terre.
Built in 1931, two concrete lighthouses replaced the previous insufficient lights, with the main tower measuring six meters in height.
The lighthouse keeper's house, constructed in 1933 using materials funded by German reparations after World War I, represents local maritime architectural heritage.
The automated lighthouse operates with three luminous sectors - blue, green, and red - projecting light signals visible up to 8 nautical miles.
The site contains underwater remnants of two Napoleonic ships and an indigo factory, making it both a maritime and industrial historical location.
