Pic de Burat

Pic de Burat is a mountain summit in the Pyrenees located in Haute-Garonne, rising prominently above the surrounding landscape. The area features steep slopes and alpine meadows that transition between forested lower areas and rocky high-altitude terrain.

The mountain has long served as a boundary marker between different communes in the Haute-Garonne region. This role as a natural border has persisted through changes in administrative divisions.

An old mountain shelter stands near the peak and serves as a popular rest stop for hikers. The cabin is situated within a protected biological reserve that preserves rare alpine plants and wildlife.
