Pointe d'Arradon, Cape in Arradon, Brittany, France

The pointe d'Arradon is a small land cape in the town of Arradon, in Brittany, jutting into the Gulf of Morbihan. From its tip, the Île Holavre sits directly ahead and the Île aux Moines is visible slightly further out, framed by a broad view of the open water.

In the 18th century, the pointe d'Arradon was known as the pointe Perrier, a name that reflects a time when the area was sparsely inhabited. The small slipway at the tip was used as a boarding point for passengers crossing to the Île aux Moines.

The pointe d'Arradon faces the Île aux Moines and offers a wide open view over the Gulf of Morbihan. At low tide, mudflats and oyster beds become visible, giving a clear sense of how coastal life has long shaped this part of Brittany.

A coastal path runs along the pointe d'Arradon, though some sections may be closed due to landslides, so checking conditions before you go is a good idea. There is a parking area directly at the cape, which fills up quickly in summer, so arriving early in the day helps.

The esplanade Anne Caseneuve, a large open area right at the tip, is one of the few spots in the area where you can sit and look out to sea without any buildings or fences blocking the view. The GR34, one of the most followed coastal walking routes in France, passes directly through here, making the cape a natural starting point for longer walks along the Morbihan shoreline.
