Patinoire Iceberg, Ice rink in Strasbourg, France
Patinoire Iceberg is a modern ice facility in Strasbourg with two separate ice surfaces designed for different purposes. One surface accommodates competitions with seating for around 1,200 people, while the other provides approximately 500 square meters for recreational skating and other ice sports.
The facility opened in 2005 and quickly became the primary ice sports venue for the Alsace region. It was constructed to meet the growing demand for modern training and competition facilities dedicated to ice hockey and related winter sports.
The ice rink serves as home to the Étoile Noire de Strasbourg ice hockey team, whose games draw local supporters throughout the season. It functions as a gathering place where residents come to skate, watch competitions, or participate in winter sports activities together.
The venue sits on Rue Pierre Nuss and is easily reached by trams A and D at Rotonde station. Bus lines 17 and 19 also serve nearby stops, providing convenient transportation options for visitors.
The facility operates year-round and hosts three distinct ice sports in one location: ice hockey, figure skating, and curling. This range of activities under one roof makes it a versatile venue that serves both competitive athletes and casual participants.
