Parc de Parilly

Parc de Parilly is a large green space in Bron featuring multiple sports facilities including football pitches, basketball courts, running tracks, and handball courts. The grounds are well laid out and offer plenty of room for different types of activity.

The park was planned in 1926 by mayor Édouard Herriot but took over a decade to realize, finally opening in 1937. This lengthy construction period reflects the challenges of creating such a large public green space at that time.

The park serves as a meeting place where neighbors gather for sports events and recreation throughout the year. You will see people training, families relaxing, and groups enjoying activities together in this community space.

The park is easily accessible by public transport with metro, tram, and bus services stopping nearby. Wear comfortable walking shoes as the grounds are expansive and there is much to explore on foot.

A small train operates on weekends and holidays running through different sections of the park and offering visitors a different way to experience the grounds. This ride is especially popular with children and adds a fun element to the visit.
