Parc Jardins du Monde, Reptile zoo in Royan, France
Planet Exotica spans 7.6 hectares within an urban wetland, featuring tropical greenhouses, exotic reptiles, and life-size dinosaur replicas throughout the park.
The zoological park opened its facilities in one of the last remaining urban marshlands of Royan, establishing a center for reptile research and conservation.
The facility collaborates with the Swiss HERPETOFAUNA Research Center to protect endangered species and produce serums from collected snake venoms.
The zoo welcomes visitors daily from 10:00 to 18:00, with extended hours until 20:00 in July and August, offering tickets from 13€ for children.
The park maintains specialized nurseries and laboratories that contribute to international research while housing black mambas, green mambas, and cobra species.
