Square Saint-Lambert

Square Saint-Lambert is an urban park and historic monument in the 15th arrondissement, built around a central miniature lake with landscaped gardens. The grounds include multiple recreational zones, including children's play areas with swings, slides, and a sandpit.

The site was established in 1933, replacing a former gasworks facility on the location. This transformation was part of broader urban renewal in Paris during the early 20th century.

The park displays artistic works including Auguste Guénot's bas-relief of dancing children and Victor Peter's 1938 statue of two bears. These pieces are woven into the everyday landscape that visitors encounter while walking through the grounds.

The park is located near Metro stations Commerce and Vaugirard, making it easily accessible. Visitors should be aware that paved pathways and play areas can become slippery in wet weather conditions.

The amphitheater design was developed by Georges Sébille and combines art deco elements with three distinct zones around the central water feature. This spatial arrangement creates surprising visual perspectives as you move through different parts of the park.
