Tour Panoramique is a residential tower in Maxéville standing 108 meters tall across 34 floors. Inside are 109 apartments ranging from three to five rooms, along with office spaces throughout the building.
Work on the tower started in 1969 and took about nineteen months to complete under architects Abel Lucas and Guy Wurmser. The project marked a turning point in how the Lorraine region approached modern urban development.
The tower shows how cities were developing in the early 1970s through its blend of homes and offices in one building. It shaped how Maxéville looked and represented new ideas about urban living during that period.
Fast elevators connect all floors of the building, making it easy to move between different levels. The mix of residential and office spaces means you can explore various parts of the tower.
The building's walls grow thinner as you go higher, which means apartments near the top are actually larger than those below. This design choice created surprisingly spacious interiors in the upper sections.
