Temple for Peace, Buddhist monastery in Aubry-le-Panthou, France
The Temple for Peace spans five levels across 3,600 square meters, incorporating architectural elements inspired by the Samye Monastery of Tibet.
Construction of the Temple for Peace began in 2010 following the project's approval by French authorities and support from the 14th Dalai Lama.
The monastery hosts an annual Festival for Peace featuring Mongolian songs, Japanese martial arts demonstrations, scientific lectures, and Buddhist ceremonies.
The temple complex welcomes visitors to participate in workshops, meditation sessions, and cultural events, with construction funded through donations and artistic activities.
Founded by Lama Gyurme, this spiritual center combines traditional Tibetan architectural design with modern elements to create an interfaith dialogue space.
