Vajradhara-Ling, Buddhist temple in Aubry-le-Panthou, France
The Vajradhara-Ling temple incorporates a 23-meter stupa and a large prayer wheel containing 100,000 printed mantras within its expansive grounds in Normandy.
Established in 1982 by Kalu Rinpoche, the temple received a visit from the 14th Dalai Lama in 2008 to consecrate the future Temple for Peace location.
The center follows the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism, offering meditation programs, teachings, and spiritual guidance to practitioners from various backgrounds.
Visitors can access the temple grounds freely throughout the year, with guided tours available upon request and specific schedules for meditation retreats.
The temple includes Mahamoudra-Ling, a separate retreat facility located 60 kilometers away, designed for extended meditation periods of six months to one year.
