The Labor Archives Center is a former textile factory with red brick walls and industrial architecture from the 19th century. The building retains its original factory structure but has been adapted as archival spaces.
The building was originally the Motte-Bossut textile factory and operated from 1843 until 1981. After closure, it was converted into an archive center in 1993.
The archive center reflects the importance of textile production and worker culture in this region through its holdings. Walking through it gives a sense of how deeply industry shaped life for people here.
