Village of Sundew was a leisure park nestled in the Forez mountains at high altitude on natural terrain. The site included accommodation and dining facilities spread across its woodland grounds.
The park was created to showcase miniature replicas of regional architectural landmarks and closed in 2012. It represented an attempt to blend natural mountain scenery with cultural monuments in miniature form.
The park displayed precise miniature reproductions of regional landmarks, including the Abbey of La Bénisson-Dieu and the Cathedral of Clermont-Ferrand.
The site was situated in a mountain region suitable for hiking with proximity to winter sports areas. Visitors should prepare for high-altitude weather conditions and check what seasonal access to the grounds might offer.
The complex contained ten rental chalets, a heated indoor swimming pool, and a panoramic restaurant overlooking the mountainous landscape of Forez.
