Saint Maurice is a Gothic church standing in the center of Soultz-Haut-Rhin with a distinctive tower reaching about 66 meters high, equipped with a clock mechanism. The building displays characteristic Gothic features such as pointed arches and serves as a landmark on the town square.
History
Construction of the church began in 1270 on the site of an earlier Romanesque church and was gradually expanded over time. The work stretched over more than 200 years, with the western section completed in 1489.

The interior holds artwork from different periods, including a 1750 organ and an ornately carved pulpit from the Renaissance period. These pieces were created by skilled craftspeople who shaped the space over centuries.
