The church's history began in 996 with the discovery of Saint Ayoul relics, leading Count Thibaut I of Champagne to expand the structure in the 11th century.

Visitors can explore Saint Ayoul Church on the first weekend of each month between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with audio guides available in multiple languages.
The church contains an organ from 1777 and an altarpiece by Pierre Blasset from the 17th century, along with numerous statues and paintings throughout the interior.
