Église Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc du Touquet-Paris-Plage, Catholic church in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, France

Église Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc is a Catholic church in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage built with a Latin cross layout and four bays that lead toward the transept. Columns topped with Corinthian capitals and double buttresses support the structure, giving the building its distinctive architectural character.

Construction of this church began in 1910 under architect Lucien Viraut and was completed the following year. It was built at the request of British Catholics who sought a place of worship in the coastal resort.

The stained glass windows in the nave depict scenes from the life of Saint Joan of Arc, while the choir shows moments from Jesus's life. These windows tell stories through color and light, inviting visitors to explore the religious narrative displayed throughout the space.

The church is located on Boulevard Daloz in the center of Le Touquet and is easily reached on foot from most parts of town. Regular worship services take place throughout the week, and visitors can inquire locally about visiting hours if planning a visit.

This was the first church in France to be dedicated to Saint Joan of Arc, an unusual choice that emerged from the desire of British Catholics to establish a spiritual space in this seaside resort. The dedication reflected an unexpected spiritual connection and cross-border religious movement.
