Architect Paul Bertrand designed this residential building in 1905, when Le Touquet-Paris-Plage was becoming a favorite holiday destination for wealthy Parisians. The structure emerged during a period of rapid growth as the coastal town developed into a retreat for the wealthy.

The three villas carry mottoes, from east to west: "d'Airain pour résister", "Dieu les garde" and "Bien faire et laisser dire". Their ground floors once held stables and grooms' quarters; when Avenue Saint-Jean became the route from the forest to the beach, these were converted into fashion shops. The complex now holds homes and a restaurant.
