Construction of the church began on March 19, 1875, on land formerly owned by the Abbey of Saint-Antoine and later purchased by Mademoiselle Roland-Gosselin.

The church interior displays artworks by Polish painter Victor Zier and liturgical furniture created by Dominique Kaeppelin during the 1980s.

The organ, initially constructed in 1881, underwent significant modifications in 1979 by organ builders Benoist and Sarélot.
