Jardin Debergue Rendez-vous, Urban park in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, France
Jardin Debergue Rendez-vous is an urban park in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, tucked behind the Cité Debergue between a school and residential buildings. The entrance on Rue du Rendez-Vous opens onto a central lawn surrounded by curved paths, trees, play areas for children and teenagers, and a small educational garden.
The park opened on May 12, 2007, built on land that had previously been a closed wasteland. In 2019, a nearby construction project led to the removal of twenty-five trees in the surrounding area, which drew opposition from local residents who wanted to protect the greenery.
The garden takes its name from two streets that border it, the Cité Debergue and the Rue du Rendez-Vous. In June 2024, it was officially renamed in honor of Solange Faladé, a physician, scientist, and psychologist of Beninese origin.
The main entrance is on Rue du Rendez-Vous and the park is easy to reach on foot from nearby streets. The closest metro stop on line 6 is a short walk away, making it simple to visit without a car.
The park was designed with direct input from the Bel-Air Nord neighborhood council, whose residents attended several meetings to shape the project. A guided walk in November 2016 brought together local residents and officials to explore the future site together before any work began.
