Hôtel de Vigny is a private mansion located on Rue du Parc-Royal that displays classical French architecture with balanced proportions and finely worked stone. The building's facade shows the refined style typical of 17th century residential design.

Charles Margonne built the hôtel in spring 1618 on land bought from the heirs of the gardener René Jacquelin; the carpenter Jean Thiriot contracted Julien Prouvat for the timber work that April. In 1628 it passed to Jacques Bordier, intendant des finances to Anne of Austria, and between 1645 and 1648 Louis Le Vau enlarged it. Sold in 1661 to Anne de Villers and Louis Girard, it stayed with the Vigny family from 1764 until the Revolution.

The name comes from Jacques Olivier de Vigny, marquis de Courquetaine, whose widow bought the house in 1764; it stayed with her family until the Revolution. It is also called hôtel Bordier after Jacques Bordier, intendant des finances of Anne of Austria, who bought it in 1628. The painted wooden and stucco ceiling of the first floor was made by Nicolas Loir and Jacques Gervaise in 1669/70.

The house is located in Le Marais, a historic neighborhood with good public transportation connections and many other attractions nearby. Visitors should note that this is a private residence and can only be viewed from the outside.
