Musée de la lunette, Eyewear museum in Hauts-de-Bienne, France.

The museum presents 2500 rare optical instruments and glasses from different periods, making it one of the largest collections of its type in the world.

The museum opened in 2003 in Morez, a town that began manufacturing eyewear in 1796 when local craftsmen transformed their nail-making skills into spectacle production.

The collection includes medieval spectacles and personal eyewear from notable figures like Sarah Bernhardt and Victoire de France, daughter of Louis XV.

The museum welcomes visitors from Wednesday to Sunday between 2 PM and 6 PM during low season, with extended hours from 10 AM to 6:30 PM in July and August.

Pierre Marly, who designed glasses for Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn, contributed significantly to the museum's prestigious collection of twentieth-century eyewear.
