Manoir Tronjoly

Manoir Tronjoly is a manor house in Cléder with multiple residential wings arranged around a central courtyard, featuring late Gothic window details and a corner tower. The structure displays the architectural style typical of the region during the 1500s, with carefully designed facades and practical room layouts.

Construction started in 1534 under Christophe de Kergoët, with the eastern wing built first as the initial section. The manor expanded gradually over several decades as the family established its residence in the region.

The grand salon displays wood paneling from the late 1600s and furniture from the 1700s, showing how the tastes of French nobility evolved over time. These rooms reveal the lifestyles and preferences of different generations through their decorative choices.

The exterior and park remain freely accessible throughout the year, with guided tours available in July and August. Visitors should check ahead about tour times to fully experience the interior spaces.

A monolithic basin from the 1500s with Italian design sits at the center of the courtyard, showing the family's international connections. Such art objects were rare symbols of wealth and refined taste during the Renaissance.
