Hôpital Militaire de Lille

The Hôpital Militaire de Lille is a former military hospital featuring grand facades, symmetrical wings, and vaulted corridors that organize its interior spaces. This building began as a Jesuit college in the 17th century before being converted into a military medical facility under architect François-Joseph Gombert's design. The transformation preserved its classical structure while adapting the interior spaces for hospital operations.

The building displays classical French architectural features that blend with practical medical design from different eras. Visitors can observe this mix of elegance and function throughout its hallways and courtyards.
