Jardins de Séricourt, Contemporary garden in Séricourt, France.
Jardins de Séricourt is a four-hectare garden in Séricourt divided into distinct sections connected by pathways, including geometric areas planted with daylilies, asters, and perennial varieties. Each section creates a different mood as you move through the space.
Founded in 1985 by landscape designer Yves Gosse de Gorre, the garden grew into a nationally recognized destination. It received the title Best Park in France in 2005 and was named Garden of the Year in 2012.
A section of the garden references World War I through Chamaecyparis arrangements and crater-like designs inspired by northern France's battlefields. Walking through this area creates a moment of reflection on the region's past.
The garden is open from April through November, making spring and autumn the best times to visit. An on-site garden center allows you to purchase plants if the varieties on display inspire you.
At the garden's heart stands a rose cathedral where climbing roses create a walkable tunnel that extends up into the large surrounding trees. This living structure shifts in appearance with the seasons, offering an unforgettable retreat.
