Parc de préhistoire de Bretagne

Parc de Préhistoire de Bretagne is a prehistoric theme park built on a former slate quarry site in Brittany. The grounds feature natural landscapes with forests and water areas, where visitors walk among reconstructed scenes and prehistoric creature replicas.

The site opened as a park in 1988, converting a former slate mining area into an educational space about early human life. Dinosaur displays were later added to broaden the scope beyond human prehistory.

The park displays life-size scenes showing how early humans hunted, made tools, and built shelters across different prehistoric periods. These reconstructions help visitors understand the daily lives and skills of our ancestors.

Wear comfortable shoes for walking through natural terrain and reconstructed exhibition areas. The pathways are marked and easy to follow through the wooded landscape.

Giant dinosaur replicas are spread throughout the park, including fighting scenes between carnivores and large sauropods. These figures stand out prominently as you walk the grounds.
