Château de Théobon

Château de Théobon stands atop a hill, featuring a stone bridge crossing the moat and a facade decorated with double mullioned windows.

During the fourteenth century, the structure consisted of two pavilions, a gatehouse, a keep, and surrounding walls before its conversion into a residence in the seventeenth century.

The painted ceilings display mythological scenes, including the fall of Icarus in the entrance hall, reflecting the artistic refinement of the period.

Visitors can explore the monument from July to August, Monday through Saturday, with guided tours scheduled for the last departure at three fifteen.

The castle holds a distinct geographical position at the intersection of three departments, providing views over Lot-et-Garonne, Dordogne, and Gironde.
