The mansion at 53 rue Saint-Dominique features classical architecture with high ceilings, ornate parquet flooring, and decorative fireplaces throughout its interior spaces.
Architect Claude-Nicolas Ledoux constructed this residence in 1769 for Elizabeth de Lamoignon, who was separated from Armand de Gourgues, President of Paris Parliament.
The ceiling painted in 1779 by Simon Julien remains preserved in one of the salons, representing the artistic heritage of late 18th century France.
The property spans 3,509 square meters, including 2,400 square meters of gardens with a water feature and artificial grotto near central Paris.
The mansion changed ownership in 2007 through a controversial sale to Qatar's ruling family for 28 million euros, half its estimated market value.
