Château de Lustrac, Medieval castle in Trentels, France

The castle features four quadrangular towers at each corner, with facades combining brick and limestone materials overlooking the Lot River.

Construction began in the early 14th century under Foulques de Lustrac, with fortifications added in 1372 following funding from the Duke of Anjou.

The castle reflects the architectural evolution from medieval fortress to residential estate through its blend of defensive elements and living quarters.

The castle, now privately owned, underwent extensive restoration work since 1963, including the elevation of several towers and structural improvements.

A sawmill operated in the castle courtyard after 1914, when Joseph Maynot purchased the property and established industrial activities on site.
