The museum displays a collection of European paintings and sculptures spanning from the 14th to the 20th centuries within the former palace of the Dukes of Burgundy.
The institution opened its doors in 1850 and moved to the Porte Marie de Bourgogne in 2002, marking a new chapter in its development and preservation mission.
The permanent collection includes 400 paintings, 350 sculptures, and 1,000 engravings featuring works by Rubens, Van Dyck, and Fragonard among other European masters.
The museum offers guided tours throughout the year, with entrance fees of €5.80 for adults and free admission for children under 11 years old.
The museum houses a noteworthy collection of Gallon-Roman relics and a polychrome Madonna with Child from the medieval period.
