La Ferme de Suippes National Cemetery

La Ferme de Suippes National Cemetery is a war burial ground in France containing over 8,800 graves spread across rolling green fields. The site includes both individual graves and ossuaries for multiple deceased.

This cemetery was founded after World War I and later expanded to receive remains from nearby burial grounds such as Épernay. Completion in 1932 marked the finish of this important memorial project.

The cemetery became a place of remembrance for French families visiting to honor their loved ones after World War I. The orderly layout with white markers reflects a deep respect for each person buried there.

The cemetery sits southwest of Suippes and remains open to visitors throughout the year. Wear sturdy shoes since the grounds are large and can become muddy in wet weather.

Among those buried here is French poet Marcel Nenot, who died in combat in 1915 and is honored at this site. The cemetery also holds Belgian and Russian soldiers, reflecting its international significance.
