Cascade du Géhard, Natural waterfall in Girmont-Val-d'Ajol, France.
The Géhard stream creates a sequence of five waterfalls in a forested gorge, forming natural potholes where water swirls with considerable force.
During the 19th century, Napoleon III frequently visited the waterfall during his thermal treatments at the nearby town of Plombières-les-Bains.
A path called 'Emperor's Way' runs along the left bank of the torrent, marking the historical presence of Napoleon III in the region.
The waterfall is accessible through a 5-minute walk from the designated parking area, with two lots available for access to both top and bottom sections.
The stream originates at Moulin Picard and flows through daffodil fields in spring before dropping into the cascade sequence.
