The Château de Carel rises along the Dives River, surrounded by moats and complemented by outbuildings forming a classical architectural ensemble.
The construction of the present castle took place between 1719 and 1743, following the architectural styles of the Louis XIII and Louis XIV periods.
The protected elements include the facades, roofs, moats, entrance garden, vegetable garden, and the 16th-century dovecote.
Guided tours operate from 1 PM to 7 PM without interruption during summer, with an admission fee of 4 euros for adults.
The 16th-century dovecote and tithe barn built by the Lesnerac family demonstrate the agricultural history of the estate.
