Château de Grand'Maisons

Thomas de Francini, a fountain maker for King Henry IV, acquired the estate in 1598 and started a family dynasty of royal craftsmen. His descendants served the French crown for several generations as fountain designers.

The castle served as a gathering place for writers and thinkers who held salons in its rooms during the 1800s. These meetings shaped the intellectual circles of the region during that era.
