Château de Kéranroux, Historic monument in Ploujean, Morlaix, France.
Château de Kéranroux is a castle featuring classical architecture with a rectangular layout and central pediment. Its roof is crowned with large brick chimneys that define its distinctive appearance.
The estate is documented from 1301 onwards and passed to the Fruglaye family in the 18th century. They built the current castle in 1773 to replace earlier structures.
The neo-gothic chapel on the grounds was built between 1839 and 1843 and features gargoyle sculptures along with burial spaces for residents. It shows how important faith was to the family's identity and life on the estate.
The castle provides indoor reception spaces for up to 160 guests and outdoor areas for more than 300 people. It functions as an event venue for weddings and special occasions.
The dovecote was built in the 16th century from schist and pink granite and is the only one of its kind in Ploujean municipality. This rare stone structure demonstrates the skilled craftsmanship of the period.
