Château de Saint-Cricq, Medieval castle in Auch, France
The castle features a south facade with crenellated walls, a watchtower on the southwest corner, and a four-sided tower dividing the structure into two parts.
Built during the last quarter of the 15th century, the Château de Saint-Cricq received official recognition as a historical monument on December 11, 1925.
The interior decorations include painted ceilings, monumental fireplaces, coats of arms, mascarons, caryatids, and wall paintings reflecting medieval French architecture.
The castle belongs to the Auch Civil Hospital and opens its doors to visitors during special heritage events throughout the year.
The ground floor windows contain mullions, while a pepper pot-shaped watchtower in corbelling stands at the southwest corner of the structure.
