Château de Menetou-Salon

The Château de Menetou-Salon is a castle featuring 297 windows and 24 fireplaces, built in Neo-Gothic style by Ernest Sanson between 1884 and 1891. The building displays pointed arches, ornamental stonework, and detailed interior spaces that reflect the architectural tastes of the late 19th century.

Jacques Cœur, treasurer of King Charles VII, purchased the castle in 1448 before it was confiscated and given to the king's mistress. This transfer marked a pivotal moment in the building's ownership history.

The dining room displays ceramic works depicting Arcimboldo's Seasons, while the entrance hall contains a statue of Agnes Sorel.
