Château de Marval

Château de Marval is a castle featuring a rectangular main building with several pavilions arranged around a central courtyard. A fortified barn on the northeastern part of the property displays defensive features like machicolations that date from the 16th century.

The castle was built between the 13th and 14th centuries and has shaped the landscape of the region ever since. In 1569, Calvinist forces under Admiral Gaspard de Coligny inflicted significant damage on portions of the structure.
