Château de la Motte, Historical castle in Acqueville, France

The castle features a central building with two extended wings, classical facades, and a defensive moat surrounding the entire structure.

Nicolas de Grimoult commissioned the construction between 1598 and 1614, with major renovations carried out in 1694 altering its appearance.

The architecture represents the Louis XIII period, incorporating elements from the late 16th and early 17th centuries in its design.

Located 900 meters southwest of Acqueville village, the castle remains a private property not accessible for public visits.

The property includes protected historical features such as a chapel, entrance pavilion, dovecote, and an honor courtyard with sphinxes.
