Château de Lantenay, Heritage castle in Lantenay, France.

The castle consists of two L-shaped buildings with square pavilions and a spiral staircase on the western facade overlooking the surrounding countryside.

Jean Bouhier purchased the estate in 1619 for 26,000 pounds and rebuilt the castle on the site of a medieval fortress from the 12th century.

The castle features an Italian-inspired pink stone staircase and a 17th-century spiral staircase, both registered as historical monuments of France.

Visitors can access the castle grounds through a private parking area, located 16 kilometers from Dijon train station and 21 kilometers from Dijon Longvic airport.

A 45-meter-long wall contains a central nymphaeum preceded by water basins, supporting a large balustraded terrace classified as a historical monument.
