Capo al Dente, Mountain summit in Haute-Corse, France
Capo al Dente is a mountain summit in the Monte Cinto massif that rises to approximately 1,850 meters. Multiple hiking routes approach this peak from different areas of the surrounding region, offering various ways to reach the top.
The summit kept its traditional Corsican name, which reflects the island's linguistic heritage. This name reflects long-standing human presence in the mountain region.
The peak represents a central element in the Regional Natural Park of Corsica, where local festivals celebrate the mountainous landscapes throughout summer months.
The normal route to the summit starts from a saddle point nearby and takes roughly ninety minutes to reach the top. Hikers should start early in the day and bring sturdy footwear and plenty of water.
From the top, views extend across the northern mountain ridges and all the way to the Mediterranean coastline near Calvi. The panorama shows how the landscape changes from peaks down to the sea at different elevations.
