Puy de Montaudoux

The Puy de Montaudoux rises to 590 meters and features extensive gardens, orchards, and walking paths spread across three kilometers of natural space.

Archaeological excavations conducted in 2005 uncovered the remains of a Roman amphitheater from the late first century at the site.

The hill represents the volcanic heritage of the Auvergne region, where ancient volcanic formations have influenced local traditions and cuisine.

The network of trails around the summit extends for ten kilometers, requiring proper hiking equipment and good physical preparation for the ascent.

While vegetation obstructs views from the summit, two separate rock outcrops provide clear views of Chamalières and surrounding districts.
