Musée de la Résistance et de la Déportation d'Auch

The Musée de la Résistance et de la Déportation d'Auch is an underground museum displaying around 700 objects including uniforms, weapons, photographs, and documents related to local resistance during World War II. The collection documents experiences from the Gers region during the war years.

Three former resistance fighters began gathering materials in 1954 and established this institution in 1975 to preserve their findings. The project was driven by a desire to protect and share the local history of that era for future generations.
