Château de l'Estang, Medieval castle in Orbigny, France

The castle features a 15th-century circular keep with machicolations, complemented by two perpendicular wings added during the 18th century.

Initially owned by Jeanne d'Argy in 1470, the castle endured attacks during the Hundred Years War and subsequent raids by League forces in 1590.

The main gallery opens into the inner courtyard, displaying capitals adorned with the Noroy family coat of arms and period-specific architectural elements.

Located 1.8 kilometers southeast of Orbigny's center, the castle occupies a strategic position at the confluence of two streams with a large water feature.

The castle hosts the Estivals de Touraine events in its courtyard while maintaining its status as a private residence.
