Montagne des Louquiers

Montagne des Louquiers is a mountain summit in Var department that rises to approximately 970 meters and features a network of walking trails. The slopes and surrounding areas offer different routes with varying difficulty and natural environments to explore.

The area shows evidence of human settlement dating back several thousand years, documented through archaeological finds. Early inhabitants left traces of their existence through stone burial structures and other remnants preserved in the landscape.

Nearby is the Vallonnet cave, which holds one of the longest records of human presence in the region. Archaeologists have discovered tools and animal bones there reaching back around one million years, revealing how long people have inhabited this area.
