Felsachkopf, Mountain summit in Vosges, Haut-Rhin, France.
Felsachkopf is a mountain summit in the Vosges that rises to 1107 meters and sits northwest of Haut de Felsach in the Haut-Rhin department. The peak is covered with meadows and forms part of the main ridge of the Vosges range.
The summit served as a passage for French soldiers moving toward the free zone during World War II. The location was thus a key point along the region's escape routes during the occupation.
The meadow covering the summit shows the grazing traditions that have shaped the Vosges landscape for generations and remain part of its character today.
The peak is accessible through marked trails starting from the Oderen pass and leading to the summit. Routes are well marked, and conditions vary with the season and weather.
The summit still bears traces of a ski lift installed in 1976, its pylons having marked the landscape for decades. The structure is now being gradually dismantled after many years out of service.
