The Église de l'ancien couvent des Minimes de La Guiche is a church building located in the center of the small town of La Guiche, in the Saône-et-Loire department of Burgundy. It is the only remaining structure of a former Minim convent, with a stone facade and a plain, solid layout.
The first part of the complex was built in the early 16th century, when the Minim order established itself in the region. In the 19th century, parts of the building were renewed while the older structure was kept in place.
The church belongs to the Minim friars, an order known for its simple and austere way of life. Inside, wooden benches are arranged plainly, and natural light comes through small windows, giving the space a focused and collected feeling.
The church stands on a calm street in the center of La Guiche and is easy to reach on foot. The main door is often open, allowing visitors to step in and take a moment inside.
The building carries traces of two construction phases separated by about 3 centuries, which can be noticed when looking closely at the walls. This layering of two eras in such a small village building is rare and makes it an unusual witness to local architectural history.
